This set of four practical, round, airtight and watertight stainless steel food storage containers is perfect for long (or short!) term storage of food - grains, flours, nuts, seeds, dried fruit - or for freezing fresh produce or seasonal fruits. These containers also work wonderfully for transporting a meal to a potluck, or on a camping trip. Simply re-heat the container on the stove directly, with heat protection for your hands.
Use and care
Easy to clean, the container base can be washed in the dishwasher. Lids should be washed by hand with warm soapy water. The containers can also be re-heated on the stove. Please note that the lid has a silicone seal, which is not dishwasher-safe or oven-safe. These containers are freezer-safe.
You can use a non-permanent marker/wax pencil to write on the container. This is handy for specifying contents and storage date. The marker writings wash off easily with water and friction.
Please note that nesting the containers inside each other may cause some minor scratching inside the containers as they rub against each other. This is normal and does not in any way decrease the quality, integrity, safety or functionality of the containers.
Four convenient large sizes are included:
- 18 cm / 7 1/16" diameter (1.75 L / 59 oz. capacity)
- 20 cm / 7 7/8" diameter (2 L / 68 oz. capacity)
- 23 cm / 9" diameter (4 L / 135 oz. capacity)
- 26 cm / 10 1/4" diameter (6 L / 203 oz. capacity)
The four containers nest into one another completely (with the lids on) thus optimizing storage space.

End of life
These containers should last a very long time! If needed, the container is recyclable. Silicone bands can be burned safely or recycled where silicone is accepted, such as www.sextoyrecycling.com (lol).
Replacement lids can be purchased separately from www.lifewithoutplastic.com.
