A perfect gift bundle for the outdoor lover. These lightweight outdoor essentials will help keep a comfortable camping trip or hike. Bamboo utensils in a convenient carrying case with a carabiner for outdoor meals, natural bug repellent balm in a small tin, and a breathable mesh bag for organizing in a backpack or storing wet items - just tie to the outside of a bag to let them dry.
Use and care
Bug balm: Rub the balm onto skin that bugs like to go after, especially pulse points, and reapply as necessary.
Mesh bag: great for produce, or storing and organizing items. It's also a great bag to put wet items like swimsuits so they don't mildew - just wring them out, throw them in the bag and tie it to the outside of your backpack to let them air out on a hike.
Bamboo utensil set: These utensils are heat and stain resistant, and they don't absorb any flavors. Dishwasher safe, but handwash for optimal lifespan.
Bug balm: Rosehip Oil, Shea Butter, Beeswax, and Essential Oils of Citronella, Eucalyptus, Cedar Wood, Lemongrass, Lavender, Litsea, Tea Tree, Patchouli, and Catnip.
Mesh bag: 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. This bag is not preshrunk. This bag does not contain lead, cadmium, or any other heavy metal in toxic amounts.
Bamboo utensil set: The fabric utensil holder gives plastic bottles a second shot at a useful life - and an opportunity to stay out of our landfills. Made out of RPET (recycled PET plastic), they call the fabric RePEaT because it lets plastic reincarnate for a second life. Utensils made from sustainably sourced renewable bamboo, hand finished with top grade natural, food-safe wood oil.
Bug balm: Aluminum tin with screw-top lid.
Mesh bag: Paper hang tag tied on with cotton string.
Bamboo utensil set: Paper tag.
Bug balm: Sourced from Dulse & Rugosa, a mother daughter business in Gotts Island, Maine, United States.
Mesh bag: Sourced from EcoBags, a certified B corporation based in New York. Made in India with fair trade/fair labor. These mesh bags are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified, which means that they have the highest standard for textiles made from organic fibers and have met high level environmental and social criteria.
Bamboo utensil set: Sourced from To Go Ware, made in China and distributed from California, USA.
End of life
Bug balm: Reuse the tin to make your own products or to be a travel container of lotion, lip balm, mints, or whatever you like. If necessary, it can be recycled.
Mesh bag: Donate to a textile recycler such as Threadcycle, or compost it.
Bamboo utensil set: If one of your utensils breaks, you can compost it. You can buy a replacement utensil here. The holder can be tossed in the wash and reused or taken to textile recycling. The carabiner can be reused, donated, or recycled.
